6-6-6: Uncomfortable Beasts Read from Their Latest Works

Hey, think about joining the lovely Evelyn Hampton, me, and four other writers (a total of 6 of us)
at 6pm at Ada Books on December 6 for a reading. There will probably be snacks and drinks and Satan.

Thank you | My new friend | Come write about water

1. The party was totally fun, you guys. Thanks to all who made it out last night.
2. Just lookit this thing happening over at Books on the Square. Robert Pinsky and I are like pals now.
3. I’m doing a writing workshop about water next Sunday at Slater Mill, where the American Industrial Revolution began. Maybe you should come. Details here, email me at amypickworth [at] gmail [dot] com if you’re interested. You probably really should come, you know.

Bigfoot is born (and there’s a party to celebrate)

Tomorrow is November 1, the official release date, at which point Bigfoot officially exists. In an early endorsement, one reader writes, “It’s very hard to wrestle this book away from the baby. She senses that it brims with wit, pain, and identity questions, and she is unafraid.”

You can order a copy through Orange Monkey or on Amazon, or you can buy one on November 15 at the Bigfoot for Women book party at Machines with Magnets, featuring readings and Bigfoot mini-lectures by special guests Mary-Kim Arnold, Darcie Dennigan, Avishek Ganguly, Jared Goldstein, and Lucinda Hitchcock. No cover, free parking, cash bar, 8 to 10 pm. I hope to see you there!
